Varied campaigns, color of change

I worked on social campaigns for Color of Change over a span of two years. A sampling of those assets can be found below.


 

BHM Editor-in-Chief Takeovers, Netflix

For Black History Month, Netflix passed the mic to their Black talent to play Editor-in-Chief during the course of the month. They asked me to create the announcement assets.

After a couple rounds of creative concepts, we landed on an aesthetic that drew from the hard angles, drastic shadows, and abstract shapes found in street graffiti. All in all, I created 21 assets over the course of the month, a few of which are below.

AfroTech Virtual Summits, AfroTech

While freelancing for Blavity Inc., I created a set of templates to use on social. One of those templates was a Virtual Summit announcement that included and a seamless scroll technique guiding users through the critical information about each summit. I used the magenta tubing as a continuous vein in alternated background gradients to make each unit feel like one continuous piece.

The assets used brand colors in a new and interesting way, and implemented the high contrast B&W photography that Afrotech uses across assets.
